ABSTRACT
Based on the real-life mysterious disappearance of the Ninth Spanish Legion in ancient northern Britain circa 120 AD, The Eagle follows fictional Roman centurion Marcus Flavius Aquila as he seeks to restore his family's integrity despite seeing his military career cut short by setting out on a rugged expedition to recover his missing father's legion's eagle standard.
